Anthony Weiner is great on Bill Maher tonight

Reminds me of what a powerful, progressive voice he was when he was in Congress. Such a shame he made such a mess of things. He really is a bright, articulate guy. Hopefully he will one day wind up back in politics...

2. Weiner is a blithering idiot.

Politically he may be good.

But he's a total idiot.

5. Good to know he kept it in his pants this time.

Who says an old dog can't learn new tricks?

8. I watched him tonight

and was so impressed, I almost started a thread.

Judging by some of the jackass responses I've read I'm glad I followed my instinct.

12. He should have waited to run and he should have made sure his house was in order. The damage

he has done to Huma's career is terrible. With that said, we have lost a great progressive voice in the party. I hope
he can rehabilitate his image and get back in the fight.

9. I watched him, too, and those were my thoughts exactly.

He really was excellent, same as when he was in Congress. It's really sad what happened since he spoke for us.

13. Bill was slobbering on him a bit too much early on

Wiener looked as uncomfortable as we did when we had to endure his career-ending selfies, as Bill lauded him for several mints when he came on. The crowd clearly liked him when he began the defend Obamacare and he sparred well with the token Republican on the panel.
