For days, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh personally attacked Georgetown Law student and women’s health advocate Sandra Fluke, smearing her at least 70 times. Now, he’d like to pretend that some of the things he said never actually happened.

The Atlantic Wire points out that his website has scrubbed a few offensive comments. While the “slut” comments still show up in other rants by Limbaugh, his site has removed his sex tapes comment from March 1. “The pages were clearly working a few days ago — several sites linked to them,” Elspeth Reeve reports. “The pages don’t show up on the February 29 and March 1 archives, either, though links to them still exist on other transcripts related to the controversy.” Here’s the blank archives page for February 29:

Limbaugh may want to scrub some of his insulting remarks from the historical record, but they will not be forgotten. ThinkProgress has preserved Limbaugh’s sex tape comments on video here.

Limbaugh issued an apology to Fluke on March 3, and apologized on air on March 5. But in between, he has continued to attack Fluke and even turned his wrath on female journalist Tracie McMillan as well. Meanwhile, advertisers continue to abandon Rush Limbaugh’s show, with more than 40 dropping their ads since his attacks against women began.

Hopefully losing sponsors will start taking its toll. You can't punish these guys by getting into the same pig stye with them and slinging mud. Making them poor is the best solution. someone, somewhere took a screen grab of his website--the video is viral and widespread. There is nothing he can do to walk this one back. It didn't die out over the weekend like he's used to it doing. Instead of taking his asswhippin' for his truth, he's acting like an impertinent little spoiled child who doesn't want to pay the consequences for his actions. Instead, he wants to blame everyone and everything for it.

This is part of taking your asswhippin', rush. Play the man and take it.

17. I had an argument with a Dittohead

recently who told me the Chelsea Clinton "White House dog" incident never happened! He said the whole thing was a liberal myth. And in fact, Limbaugh's minions have done everything they can to wipe that incident from the record, and though I was able to find thousands of references to it on-line, the video has apparently gone down the memory hole. This was easier to do in the early '90s, before the advent of U2B and such.

So, they probably figure in five years time Dittoheads--not exactly famous for their long term memories--will regard this whole disgusting incident as another "liberal myth."

The thing is, the attack on Chelsea Clinton happened during that brief time when Limbaugh had his TV show, and I saw it happen with my own stinking eyes.

Anyway, if anyone can provide a link to an actual audio or video of the Chelsea Clinton insult, it would be much appreciated. It sure would be sweet to be able to show this dufus just how depraved and cowardly his hero really is.

Of course, Dittoheads will claim that Time is just another cog in the vast left wing conspiracy out to defeat Rush, so an actual recording of the event would, as I said, be better.

It's tough arguing against people who live in a hermetically sealed alternative reality. If Rush tomorrow said that there was never any such person as Abraham Lincoln, I'm sure nine out of ten Dittoheads would find themselves agreeing, and would argue that without actual video evidence, there's no proof this alleged "Abraham Lincoln" ever existed.

Hence my need for a recording.
