Hitting somebody with a tomato and hitting somebody with a baseball bat

can both be prosecuted as battery.

Therefore, they're the same and should be condemned equally. If you think the tomato aggressor deserves less condemnation or less punishment, you're a hypocrite.

Now, can you see how stupid this is?

4. They are, clearly, NOT the same,

and hitting someone with either is NOT 'assault;' its BATTERY. THREATENING someone with either IS assault.

I agree, they both such acts should be condemned, but not equally. The intentions connected with each such action must be considered.

Now, how stupid WHAT is???

5. Crying "waaah, waaah, (insert liberal personality here) does that too, you hypocrites!"

when the Right does something so especially egregious it actually gets blowback.

It is transparent, and it gets old real fast.

(Thanks for the clarification on the legal terms, by the way.)

6. Not sure but

I think the poster may be saying something about the comparisons going around of what Maher said and what Limpballs says.

There is a difference.

11. It depends on the kinetic energy delivered by the two objects, not their names

A tap on the butt with a baseball bat, or a tomato at 200mph from a cannon?
