She lived in the South and is married to a Southerner. You pick that up a little when you're around it or at least some people do. I was born in Virginia but moved north at age six and had a strong southern accent. I had completely lost it by high school but even now, if I spend any time in the south, it comes back a bit. It's not fake for me, I was teased about my accent and hated it, but it just comes back when I'm around it.
