One is the debt ceiling and the other is the CR. I could see a debt limit increase while the government remains shut down for months.

The Tea Party won't let him. Boehner is now a slave to the Tea party.

The tea party is 100% sure the treasury will take in enough money to pay 90% of the approved budget (This is way over my head, but with my limited knowledge of receivables, it is dangerous to assume a 100% accurate payment schedule).

The Tea party felt the shutdown or slim down would not hurt the country and neither will failing to raise the debt. They are calling this balancing the budget on their comment pages.

These are the beliefs of the RHINO hunters, they are hunting any republican who disagrees with them. Is there any wonder why Boehner looks half drunk and keeps slurring his words? The Tea Party put a target on his back, wants the shutdown and won't accept raising the debt. We don't want Obama to give Boehner anything, but our side will be much more forgiving than the other side. I think.

I can imagine Boehner staring at his phone hoping Obama calls to throw him a bone. Please baby, please...
