4. We will be going full tilt on this one

I am a newly minted precinct chair and the state party organization has its shit together like I have never seen. We have a serious GOTV/registration effort underway and will be working it Obama style (house to house).

9. I hope she gets the funding she needs. Sadly for Dems in Red States it's ($$$$). It's hard to....

compete when 1 or 2 people can just keep writing checks, and drown you in media ad crapola. But, if your enthusiasm is as palpable in the "house to house" as it is here, I think you guys can actually pull it off.

Traditionally, getting us motivated for off year elections is like pulling teeth, and I'm sorry, but if you don't vote in the midterms you don't get to whine later. Go Get 'Em!!!!!

10. There will be shitpiles of money spent on both sides

that hasn't really been the case here since the 90s. When Abbott (the assumed GOPer) beat Kirk Watson for Attorney General he actually had a TV commercial that started with rocks hitting the wheels of his wheelchair, him picking one up, sadly shaking his head and then bemoaning the fact that Watson liked to "cast stones."

It will be dirty, ugly and mean.

And expensive.

12. I can only imagine just how "diry & mean" it's gonna get. TX is teabag central, and it's spreading.

Hopefully, sanity can win the day. It's probably a case of getting that huge untapped Hispanic electorate fired up in an off year. I honestly think it can be done. I was amazed to see that she was polling only 7 or 8 pts behind the Republican. Not a bad place to start from.

29. Yeah, she's really behind!

She has a million, but the asshole she's running against has 25 already. It going to be a tough one for her but she has the charisma to pull her through (I hope)!

18. go wendy

She will have an uphill fight. Probably carry north Texas, Austin and the other cities, but the real fight will be in East and West Texas. How she runs in the small cities there will determine the race. if she can get, say 45%, in the small cities and towns there, she has a shot. if she loses and gets more than 45% it will give her another shot. Cruz is up in '16.

35. I sent her a modest donation.

But I will not be sending a donation to some Democrats, like Dick Durbin, that have been deeply disappointing to me. And I'm still pissed of at Keith Ellison for talking up a strike on Syria. You do not go against the will of the people, on things like the TPP and Chained CPI for example.
