5. Yeah, but sexist pigs are probably the men who buy most of the flowers
|
Because they would be the ones who would piss off the women in their lives much more often than sensitive liberated men.

Bet they're wrong.
Many women send flowers to their mothers, daughters, sisters, friends--and husbands. And many men are disgusted by sexism. |

|
Along the lines of "we advertise on many programs where views don't necessarily reflect ours" etc.
I replied to say I would not again order from them. I hope other former and prospective customers will too. |

response along the lines of, 'We are not responsible for, nor do we support the words of a talk show host.' Your money provides him a platform from which to spew his filth, so you ARE responsible."

I almost bet he will say he was under the influence and go back in rehab or make the GOP feel sorry for him since he is taking the heat for a poor field of candidates they are trying to push

13. Keep up the pressure
|
With so many defecting, it is REALLY bad PR for any company that remains. Actually, mentioning others who have left might be a good point to emphasize, noting that remaining makes it seem the company is endorsing the comments. Maybe a movement for women to refuse delivery from Proflowers.

BEST THREAD ON DU!!! I've already shared it on five other Facebook pages besides just my own. I strongly suggest everyone else share this as widely as possible. From the perspective of a former radio insider and it's Absolute Solid Gold-Pressed Latinum! As a former radio person myself, I couldn't agree more! 'Cause I've seen it work with my own eyes. |

15. Autozone...
|
Last edited Fri Mar 2, 2012, 11:11 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) ...is sending nonspecific autoreplies to Limbaugh questions. The gist is that they have a policy not to advertise with political shows. Either this is a very new policy or they have some weaselly way of considering him just an entertainer. I asked for clarification, but have received none.
Anybody gotten anything clearer from them? I'm really not happy with the answer I got. You can see their response by emailing investor.relations@autozone.com and mentioning Limbaugh. On edit: Autozone has been advertising with Limbaugh for a very long time, and has been unshakable in the face of other Rush-related controversies. If we can get them to commit to dropping him, it will have been a real coup. |
