If President Obama accepts an offer from Putin like Edward Snowden did, does that make him a Rand Paul disciple? Or does he crave shirtless pictures of Putin?
These things are difficult for me to follow, the world moves so quickly these days!

(13,685 posts)There is a very loose policy on DU. As long as you don't make too big a scene you can be a total ass no matter how much salt has to be applied.
And as long as you kiss establishment ass one can be an ass that fights pretzels and keep posting here.
As for me, two men getting along and working out problems too the benefit of us peons, is always a welcome sight.

Note: I understand you are being facetious, but I'm fairly certain that each issue can be argued on its own merits. I've stayed out of these discussions for the most part, but it seems scoring points on one another has become more important than the actual issues.

Either way, it means he doesn't really understand what Obama is trying to do... which makes him a little schizophrenic I suppose... or a flip-flopper... or...

But if we add Obama to the mix......A shirtless calender, One guy per season.
Paul in Spring, cause his hair looks like new growth from old soil.
Obama for Summer, the bronzed look.
Putin for Autumn, colorful, a little cold, and a reminder of times past.
Snowden for Winter, the pale white skin of the cyber-community (stereotype, I know. I'm stretching to make this work)

(8,846 posts)Just a wild guess.
I would never in my life vote for a Republican, but they're also breeding a new variation of "Democrat" that I would never vote for. If Elizabeth Warren is not our next nominee, I won't bother to vote at all. No, I'll change that. I'd vote for a Russ Feingold too. But, no mor DLC, Third-Way, New Dems.
And I've met Obama, one-on-one, face to face. Didn't like him then. Like him even less now.

In an interview with PBS NewsHours Gwen Ifill, Obama added that Russian President Vladimir Putin raised the chemical weapons proposal in their discussion at the G20 Summit last Friday in St. Petersburg. I did have those conversations, he said.
Obama did not explain why neither he nor his aides chose not to publicly promote Putins idea until today, after Kerrys remarks.
