Nor Cal is on FIRE ...it's crazy...

We're getting the plume of smoke directly from Yosemite, there's another one just outside the North tahoe basin, affecting Truckee pretty bad. but the sattellite pics are really telling

Sending prayers to the firefighters, those evacuated, the animals, etc....
wish I could stop coughing, even though the windows are closed ACK!

Not a good time to be living among the trees.

4. Well at least they aren't close...

it's just the plume that is driving me nuts. Had to shut up the house, keep the kids inside, and watch the pets too.

I realized today that I am coughing more this evening...

Last year, we didn't have to deal with this ...so I guess we're making up for it this year. Boooo

5. The inciweb shows a lot of large fires in the northwest. You can see them if you zoom out.

7. the smoke here in Reno is ridiculous. it's from the Yosemite fire

it's almost like driving through fog

hard to believe that it's from a fire so far away

10. Geez! I was just in Placerville last week.

No fire then, thank heaven.

Sunday I was driving from San Francisco to Sacramento
and didn't notice any fires. When I got to my aunt's
house she said she had been really worried about me
because there was a fire near a town I drove by. if
there was, I didn't see it or even smell smoke.

I saw signs Yosemite signs on the drive to and from
San Simeon where we stayed for a couple of days also
last week, but again no signs of fire.

I'm just glad I went last week and made it out of there
just in time.

there's a pretty good breeze and they say the wind will increase by tomorrow, hopefully blowing it out of here. Or making it that much worse
