It sure sounded like he went farther than simple harassment.

I work with a guy that was until possibly recently guilty of inappropriate touching frequently. It's possible he was warned and scared off from doing it any more. We will see. He's a classic case and actually used the, "I come from a very affectionate family where we hug a lot" excuse. What kills me is that he has a female supervisor that he's snowed successfully that buys that! Of course it's not her that he's done it to.

Almost every attractive woman I've worked with in six years at our office has complained at least among the staff about this guy. That's the dead giveaway. It's only the good looking woman he's used his hug/gropes on. The also complain about his making them squeeze by him intentionally making unnecessary contact. A couple of women have commented that even though I'm larger, in the same exact spaces, I manage to be out of the way. He also turns to face them intentionally when he does that.

If a close call hasn't gotten through to him, it should be interesting. Though he's been in good with some upper management in the past, one guy that knows the score has recently been promoted. I have personally been present when he talked with some of the other women about that behavior and heard him say that he's seen it.

"Very affectionate family". Sheesh! Isn't that right up there with guys telling women dirty jokes to get them interested in sex? I'd think that would be taught in sexual harassment training as a common example.
