Terrible Tipper of the Day: Twitter @FutureExBanker says (by way of Eater): “my jerk boss tips exactly 1%” because he loathes the 99%.” He also apparently felt the need to tell True Food Kitchen server Breanna to “get a real job.”

I think it’s high time someone occupied his ass with their foot.

Judging by the bill he wasn't eating at Denny's. There are probably a limited number of high end restaurants in Newport Beach. It should be easy to mark this guy as "do not serve".

5. Words cannot convey the disgust I have for people like this.

Someone once shared a secret with me that has served me tremendously well over the years. Always have a restaurant meal with a prospective employee and see how they treat the staff. Once or twice, I recall overlooking rude behavior and chalked it up to nervousness, and learned my lesson on going with my gut.

For all this unmitigated asshole knows, Breanna is paying her way through school to take his job one day. That would be poetic.

I waited tables in college in the 1970s. The worst tippers were the bank executives in this small town, who would leave a dime for a five dollar lunch.

The best tippers were the insurance salesmen and the little old ladies. I had been told by another waitress that little old ladies were terrible tippers, but if you paid a little bit of extra attention to them, they were wonderful!

Your best chances for getting stiffed were in low-income black neighborhoods and houses with marble driveways. Also kids home alone were always 100% sure to ask for all the change from the $20 their parents left them to order a $7 pizza with. One trick the low class white folks often used was sending their 4 year old to the door with the money. They knew they were supposed to tip you, but the kid had no idea. Any time the door was answered by a kid, you knew you weren't getting a tip. The best tips always came from people who had waited tables or worked as pizza drivers themselves.

I did get a great tip once from a bunch of suits who were having a mid-day party in a townhouse. Probably expensed to the company...

This joint is located in Newport Beach Fashion Island shopping center. The surrounding business park is full of assholes like this jackwagon. I used to work at the cosmetic counter in one of the department stores there and these creeps would worm their way through every lunch hour acting like immature horn dogs. Awful, awful, EVIL place. Fuck him.

A friend was a waitress there. She had a table of four that stayed for about 3 hours and she busted her ass getting more drinks and whatever they wanted. The total tab was $99.89 (this was back about 1980)
They left a $100 bill and walked out. She took the 11 cents and ran out into the parking lot after them and threw it, telling them to keep their change. The one bozo got huffy and walked back in demanding Charlie fire her.
Charlie just looked at him(Knowing full well what happened), opened the cash register, gave her a $20 and told the ass he never wanted to see him in his restaurant again.
