The demographic shift they're so giddy about has already happened in TX. How's that working for our party?

"It's a swirling, inchoate mass of aging, angry white people--and it's coming for you!"

Otoh, yikes! Too true. Just hope it doesn't do too much damage before it disappears.

right wing Republican party. Couldn't we channel this in the opposite direction? I've been trying on my part. Unfortunately my last major effort was working for Obama's (I used to remind phone bank callers to always refer to him as President Obama, if you get my drift here) reelection. Frustrated doesn't begin to cover my my feelings about politics today. I was a teenage "Kennedy girl" in1960. A lot of disillusionment in later years, but still, listen to JFK''s speeches (particularly on Medicare, which he never lived to see, but many thanks to LBJ). My current thought: Elizabeth Warren: keep safe!

Kept saying endlessly that both parties were exactly the same? Kept writing all those sensible-woodchuck toons because the President was forced to negotiate with a congress stacked full of TP candidates or the government would completely shut down after the 2012 elections?

That same Tom Tomorrow?

I remember when I thought conservatism would die out with the Nixon generation. But the stupid keeps coming.
