Oh dear Freepers are in an uproar again. Internet Freedom is under threat.

I got this info from a freeper relative of mine who is convience that the U.N. Wants to take over the internet so that Russia can charge them a fee.

They sent me a link to the Wall Street Journal.

Now I seriously doubt this is going to happen but What exactly is the WSJ talking about? Anyone have a link to a "real" article that isn't trying to scare people?

authoritarian control. No authoritarian and/or control freak wants the freedom of the Internet. And I really don't think they want nations to be closer together as it undermines their reign.

state will lose significant control over the net. The security-state apparatus is using the gullible right-wingers reactionary fear to pull off this psy-op via the trotting out of the same old tired boogeymen: China, Russia, top-down 'big-government', etc.

The only time the US power structure whines about 'too much regulation' is when it is NOT the one doing the regulating. When it is the one doing the regulating (or faux-regulating when it comes to its bankster masters), it is FULL FUCKING STEAM AHEAD.
