Please, enough of all this opinion poll horsecrap. It means precious little right now.

We're 9 months from the election. A million years in politics. Citing some silly Iowa poll (or any other for that matter) right now is like trying to read tea leaves with a blindfold on. It is NONSENSE. Pure NONSENSE. And some people around here get their assess all in an uproar over this silly polling. It starts to mean something maybe a few months out, and even then, in many races, not much until about a month out. On the national level, the TeaNuts don't even have a candidate yet, and there is no head to head campaign yet. So enough citing these nonsense polls and enough handwringing over some poll at this horrendously early date. It is ridiculous.

(As long as the economy even remains moderately on track, look for Obama to win with at least 52% and maybe more especially if the recovery does better. The oil assholes with their oil prices due to greedy speculation is the big question on the recovery. That as well as what happens in Europe. Still, Obama most likely wins re-election, and VERY deservedly so.)

2. I agree with your points and would just add that when we see polls favoring Obama

to use the same grain of salt. Nothing is in the bag. No poll this far out should give anyone the idea that they should let their guard down.

I hope that people are just still uninformed of his positions and who he is.

You can bet your ass that when the time comes he will. One thing about President Obama is he is not naive.
