The Planned Parenthood issue has set off a firestorm that may make a difference

On many blogs that I read, and here on DU, the GOP "war" on Planned Parenthood, and on women in general, seems to be a blunder of epic proportions.

This is a "war" the Republicans can't win. There are more women voters in this country than men. And there are far more enlightened men in this country than the GOP would admit to.

Perhaps this is the issue we have all been waiting for. Perhaps this is the issue that will throw Republicans out of office -- from the U.S. congress -- right on down to county commissioners.

The GOP has shown themselves to be fugitives from the dark ages. And they're trying to take the rest of us back there with them. But it looks like they've overplayed their hand.

The Planned Parenthood issue, and the gross "women should put an aspirin between their knees" comment from a Republican Neanderthal has lit a fuse. And it's one that will be virtually impossible to stamp out.

They are like cockroaches and unfortunately will not be gone for good even if they lose this time around.

the GOP has declared open war on American women. And it's a war I think they'll lose big time.

to rabbel up the crowd and bring out ALL the knuckledraggers for both the primary and the general (which they may not even be planning to win). I think this article reveals some truth:
