Why does the MSNBC show "The Cycle" get a bad rap?

I see DUers saying essentially that it is a sub-par show, but I sometimes watch it and don't have a problem with it. Krystal Ball seems pretty knowledgeable, and I like Toure. I also understand that many DUers aren't too crazy about S.E. Cupp, but I find her tolerable compared to the rest of her RW brethren. While I rarely agree with her on anything except for her supporting gay rights, I will say that at least she doesn't interrupt people who she disagrees with for the most part, like Hannity and O'Reilly. Plus she is the only conservative co-host of the show, which means that she is outnumbered and is generally refuted on whatever falsities she may give.

1. To me they sound like children in a food fight. Cupp acts like she knows everything. 15 minutes

was enough for me.

2. I like this show too. S. E. is a tolerable conservative voice and it is a viewpoint we should hear.

I am not a regular viewer but I will watch it if I tune in Martin Bashir early. There is some good critical thinking on display.

3. The show doesn't bother me - Krystal in particular does her homework...

Toure is very eloquent sometimes, especially when speaking about the experience of being black in the U.S. - and people need to know about that.

As you say, Cupp is the least of evils when it comes to Republicans - she may even be faking it a bit just to keep the gig.

The show is obviously meant for a younger audience but imo that audience is more likely to get their news/commentary elsewhere.

On edit: Steve's new Sat/Sun show is informative - he's doing well there I think.

9. I think she does fake it a bit.

She seems to be more of and actress than a news commentator. And I don't believe she needs those glasses.

5. If you like SE Cupp, you'll need to head on over to CNN... For me, the Cycle might now become

watchable with her gone. Uggh... Good riddance.

6. I find S.E. Cupp tolerable compared to her fellow RW talkers.

While her views are pretty far-out, one thing about her is that at least I never hear her interrupt or insult people she disagrees with like the folks on FOX do. Plus she is the token conservative on the show with 3 liberals.
Regarding CNN, I haven't watched that channel in a long time. There is just too much false equivalence being presented as objective journalism on CNN. It didn't earn its nickname "FOX Jr." for nothing.

11. Oh wow I didn't know that.

Interesting to see who they'll get to replace her on that show. Probably Susan Del Percio.
