store discount cards

if you do not wish to be tracked by the store using discount cards
like groceries and department stores
try this
when checking out say "i left my card at home"
the clerk will ask for your phone number as this is usually the number they use to register the cards
use your area code and 867-5309
its the number from that terrible tommy tutone song but it is used in every store i have ever been in
it has worked in alaska and atlanta
use the predictability of humans to save money
