Sanitarium and Gingrich motivate evangelicals. When evangelicals are in high morale, the tone of this country becomes more base and vile than a white-power CPAC convention.

Al Franken gave money to John McCain in '99 (or '00) during the Republican primaries because he could foresee the disaster a Bush White House would bring. (If all the US were as aware as Mr. Franken, there isn't a shred of doubt that we wouldn't be near the shape we're in now. And Sept. 11, forget about it. It never would have happened.
