1. Obama got rid of Bin Laden, so this is all Al Qaeda has left. Okay by me...

Time for the world to stop taking fanaticism of all kinds so seriously and lighten up a little bit. But, 'Peace and love are sooo boring' some will say. What's the hair on fire media going to do for ratings ?

3. I am not sure this is pro or anti or whatever

it is just a weird internet search result I thought I would share. Lots of different videos of people doing it, so it is a fad.

7. Using my youtube search terms of 'bbc documentary on al qaeda'yielded:

Two advertisements as usual at the top among 52,000 results. The first page was solid with hours of serious video and the next pages varied in content. Good luck next time with your search.

BTW, I'm implying we shouldn't take all sorts of fanatics seriously, or misunderstand their zeal and how negative the results on all of us. But it's interesting how many people are looking to find different ways of looking at things and not feeling so hateful.

See you later. Peace Out.

10. I just put in "al qaeda' and got all the dance vids.

and yes I got what I was looking for with being more specific. It is actually more about Pakistani ISI.

5. My Theory

Is Al Quaeda, is a made up word by our CIA, which loosely translated means 'the list'. The list was a roll of names of foreigners, who had come from other countries to train for war. It was never an official armed troupe of fighters. Most trained and returned home. Telaban is a lot closer to what might be an actual name for an Afgan organization.

All that Al Quaeda of Iraq was bullshit. They were looking at the tags in the insergents clothing just desperately trying to find a link between the two countries.

Yeah I'm really sure some organization has really named themselves Al Quaeda of the Northern Peninsula, uh huh.
No seriously. That ought to fly under the radar.

They think we're stupid.

6. It Means "The Base" and bin Ladin named it that himself

"the base" being the guys who fought the Soviets with him and were then willing to hang around to fight the other superpower. None of that is a big secret.

9. Looks like a cross between a tribal dance and modern break dancing.

As long as they are dancing and not bombing, it's fine with me.

11. I didn't say I had a problem with it. Just today's adventures in the internets.

Just saying a West African dance craze was not what I was expecting.
