You never stop do you?

just because Ron/Rand Paul still support legitimate whistle-blowers, and seek to drastically
reduce the military, along with all the the secret illegal government spying programs,
does NOT -- I repeat does NOT -- mean that everyone who agrees with Paul on these
points should be subjected to your constant insults and derision.

Glen Greenwald has been around a long time, is widely respected in the field of
journalism, and is putting himself in harms way to cover these kinds of news stories.
If you don't believe me, go look again at Michael Hastings frying in his car that mysteriously
lost control and exploded, just before breaking a big new story.

Of course, you have a right to your own opinions, but I wish you would stop abusing others
in trying to get your points across.

...that President Obama had no intention of pursuing the goals of Candidate Obama. I'm not a big marijuana advocate, haven't smoked it in years. Yet watching the disparity between what he said and what he did was the beginning of a series of ever-larger alarming changes in policy goals for his administration.

I notice the usual Booster Club Boys and Girls aren't addressing the specifics of this list - just the conclusion:

He does not sound much like a Democrat to me.

The really sad thing is that by this list, he is a pretty typical mainstream Democratic politician. Most of this has been growing worse for decades. He can certainly be blamed for swimming with the tide rather being the mythical Hercules figure -- bender of rivers, stable washer -- some of us expected to be electing President of the United States. But, yes, he has disappointed most of us by not beeing seen trying to swim against the current to rescue more drowning victims.

Forget Hercules. Not even the Lifeguard we thought he'd be.

Even when we had control of both Houses, not all Democrats were going along with anything remotely like real structural reforms. I guess that's the point I'd make.

I'm pretty far left myself but despite all you highlighted...much of which was true and much of which was over the top and less than fully true...I'd gladly vote for him again. I'm not an apologist but I do take responsibility for electing him. I'm happy for Obamacare. I'm happy he supports gay marriage. I'm happy that he's getting us out of Iraq. The world is about choices...and I'm happy I chose him twice.

although we have the largest embassy "compound" in the world there, chock full of boots on the ground. It will be at least another year and a half before we're supposedly "out" of Afghanistan too. Just in time for the 2014 elections btw.

"Retains the Federal subsidies to the oil business, despite big oil having already had a decade of record profits "

Obama has proposed ending oil subsidies in every budget and other proposals. Congress, specifically Republicans, oppose it.
