Man angry over Boston bombings breaks jaw of ‘f*cking Muslim’ Iraq war veteran

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/05/01/man-angry-over-boston-bombings-breaks-jaw-of-fcking-muslim-iraq-war-veteran/
A 39-year-old Muslim cab driver who served in the Iraq war says that an executive from an aviation company accused him of being a jihadist and broke his jaw in what activists are calling a hate crime.
(clip)
Dahlberg can be heard asking Salim, who emigrated from Somalia, to define “jihad” and then lumping him in with “radical fucking Muslims blowing people up all over the world.”

“Denounce those motherfuckers now!” Dahlberg demands. “If you’re a fucking Muslim flying jets into the fucking World Trade Center then fuck you. I will slice your fucking throat right now.”
(clip)
Salim said that Dahlberg left the cab, but then returned and broke his jaw before running into the woods....more@link

The vast majority of these internet "tough guys" can't get off the couch long enough to harm anyone, couldn't hit the broad side of a barn from 20 ft. and are just as apt to shoot themselves as anyone else. When actually confronted, they fold like a cheap card table. Then again, it only takes 1 out of 1,000 to cause a tragedy. Trayvon Martin comes to mind.

Thanks for the link.

Ed Dahlberg, President of Emerald Aviation Inc., has more than 20 years experience in the field of business and commercial aviation. He began flying in 1978. After obtaining his commercial, instrument and multi engine certificates he served as a pilot for a regional commuter airline. In 1988 he began his career in aircraft sales at Jettech, Inc and later went on to manage the company. In 1995 Ed left to establish his own company Emerald Aviation. His aviation experience is complimented with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from the University of South Florida.

Gaining trust and confidence of customers over the last two decades, he has the admiration of many in the marketplace. Through transparent business transactions and always effectively representing the best interests of his clients, Ed has developed business relationships worldwide that have endured through the years. Straightforward plane sales and multifaceted transactions; King Airs to Gulfstreams and everything in between, they are all handled with one objective in mind, his clients.

This is a man who is pathologically angry in general, who will seize upon any event or circumstance in order to legitimize his own, self-indulgent anger, and to use it as justification for acting out on that anger. Please, let's not dignify it by suggesting that his 'anger' had or even needed a particular cause.

Dahlberg deserves to have a jury of Salim's peers. All army with a few others thrown in for good measure.

Here's the prelude to the story:

Mohamed A. Salim told The Washington Post that Emerald Aviation President Ed Dahlberg attacked him after he picked him up at Country Club of Fairfax in Northern Virginia at around 2 a.m. on Friday. Dahlberg had been drinking and was told that he would have to finish his open beer before getting into the cab.

Let's see. At 2 AM. No doubt when the bar closed and he was told to leave. Likely he was unhappy about that. And that he had to finish his drink before getting into the cab as many states have tough open container laws that don't let the driver off the hook.

Two things show this guy was in trouble, looking for trouble, and it's very fortunate for his bigoted ass Salim just recorded him and didn't act in the way a war trained veteran could.

I think we have a winner for the teabagger moran of the year awards. Please let him go to jail, although it's unlikely in Virginia, they let all the GOP and baggers do whatever they want to do there...

The is humorous, maddening, depressing and spooky all at the same time. People with money, acting like thugs.

But I hope Salim sues the shit out of them and wins. 20 years ago all you had to do was pick the bad guy out, today you almost need a camera to prove your case. But this guy being the mouth that he is, probably told someone how he beat up a Muslim terrorist and ran away. And I bet he didn't pay for his ride so he stole from him as well.

Typical asshole rich guy complains about the meter too. Salim had to wait for this fool to finish his beer. That's his time, and he should get paid for it. I wouldn't expect a cabbie to hold off while I finish my cigarette, and not get charged for it. You start paying the minute they get there.

The website for Dahlberg’s company, Emerald Aviation, was offline for four days of “scheduled maintenance” as of Wednesday afternoon.

The Emerald Aviation webpage reports

Maintenance Mode

Emerald Aviation is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance.

Please try back in 3 days, 20 hours, and 4 minutes
(on May 5, 2013 at 3:35 pm).

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Amazing that the site maintenance was scheduled for exactly the time that the article appeared.

Guess we'll have to wait to tell Mr. Dahlberg our opinions of his class act.
