Huffington Post: (DU's) Mitt Romney 'Rmoney' Photoshop Kind Of Says It All

Mitt Romney 'Rmoney' Photoshop Kind Of Says It All (PHOTO)
First Posted: 02/ 6/2012 2:46 pm Updated: 02/ 6/2012 2:51 pm

Mitt Romney has himself to thank for his growing reputation as an out-of-touch rich guy. Saying you enjoy firing people, don't worry about the poor and that $360,000 isn't a lot of money, goes well beyond the somewhat understandable gaffes every politician falls prey to.

That of course, doesn't mean that the Internet isn't ready and willing to help you dig yourself an even deeper hole.

It took us a while to determine that this was a photoshop spoof and not some lucky photographer's brilliant catch, as the Democratic Underground poster who made it did a fantastic job. But if you take a look at the original photo, you'll see that the little boy with glasses was wearing the O shirt.

the pic is funny but the boy scout in me just can't stand seeing an American flag displayed improperly.

I suppose it is possible that they are backstage and that it is correctly displayed to the audience. but I can't confirm that from this photo.

^snip^

When displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, the union should be uppermost and to the flag's own right, that is, to the observer's left. When displayed in a window, the flag should be displayed in the same way, with the union or blue field to the left of the observer in the street.

^snip^

The national flag of the United States of America (or the American flag) consists of thirteen equal horizontal stripes of red (top and bottom) alternating with white, with a blue rectangle in the canton (referred to specifically as the "union&quot bearing fifty small, white, five-pointed stars arranged in nine offset horizontal rows of six stars (top and bottom) alternating with rows of five star

There are wires running all over the ground and the light source is coming from the other side of the flag (see the shadow of the railing of the steps to the stage).

it does look like they are backstage, if only because of the lighting

It still kinda bothers me though

EarlG's picture is sure spreading around the internet. Anyone that has seen it won't be able to see Romney's name without thinking about Rmoney.

perfect. IMO if there were more wrinkles like those in the 'E', the fake would be harder to spot.

The 'O' is the worst from this viewpoint, but even the 'E' looks too perfect. Kids are not soldiers standing at attention.
