Missouri Republicans vote to stop issuing driver’s licenses

Missouri state senators on on Monday voted to eliminate all funding for the Department of Revenue’s driver’s license bureau because they were angry about the way the agency was keeping concealed carry gun records...

...Melissa Wilson, wife of state Rep. Kenneth Wilson (R), told the committee earlier this month that she was certain that gun records had been shared with the federal government as a part of a United Nations initiative called Agenda 21, which some conservatives believe is a conspiracy to “transform America from the land of the free, to the land of the collective” through “a mind-control” tactic called the Delphi technique.

The conspiracy theory element should be polled.

The beginners think the UN wants to take over some of our land. Others believe it is aliens.

I would love to see the partisan leanings on that.

One can always find a conspiracy that aggravates any particular phobia. I am truly alarmed at the number of people who subscribe to one or another, some or many of the boogeyman tales out there. What's frightening is some of them get elected to office and then really stupid things --like this -- come to pass.

It is plausible to some that Sandy Hook either never happened, or that the evil "they" were behind it. Same goes for the Marathon bombing. And let's not forget that aliens have always been here. They're watching. They'll be back.

I am not immune. I believe that the big money cabal really does rule the world.

This poll is not specifically on who believes that Agenda 21 is a UN conspiracy to take over our land Generally though it seems that the New World Order believers on the right think that it is the UN that is going to lead the way in the NWO so both the Agenda 21 and NWO CT's center on suspicions of the UN.

Do you believe that a secretive power elite with a globalist agenda is conspiring to eventually rule the world through an authoritarian world government, or New World Order, or not?
'Very Liberal' : Yes - 12%, No - 69%;
'Somewhat Liberal' : Yes - 20%, No - 51%;
'Moderate': Yes - 23%, No - 56%;
'Somewhat Conservative' : Yes - 33%, No - 38%;
'Very Conservative' : Yes - 45%, No - 26%.

"Very Liberal" seem to laugh this CT off, but not the 'very conservative' folks.

Do you believe that global warming is a hoax or not?
'Very Liberal' : Yes - 14%, No - 79%;
'Somewhat Liberal' : Yes - 12%, No - 82%;
'Moderate': Yes - 22%, No - 67%;
'Somewhat Conservative' : Yes - 52%, No - 28%

This poll was release on April 2, 2013 and has a lot of information on "Democrats and Republicans differ on conspiracy theory beliefs". It covers many different subjects and breaks down answers on partisan (Democrat-Independent-Republican and liberal-conservative) lines.

In fact, the GA was Democratically controlled until the 2000s. John Ashcroft was governor from 1985- 93. He famously called Democrats back into a special session to raise taxes. So that he would not have to make cuts to education or health care.

I think it's great that the Republicans are moving to get rid of these outdated things known as drivers licenses. After all, we rarely - if ever - have to use them. /sarcasm

Anyway, I really wonder why they think this is a good idea. I can see some Republicans defending this move, saying that driving isn't a right. I'm not going to list all of the secondary uses for a drivers license, but if the Republicans get their way then teens, and those whose licenses expire, better get used to biking or walking.

This is a scare tactic, pure and simple though. It's seen a lot now though. Republicans have mastered this tactic - It's called do things our way or we will **** over the people.

It's a pity though that both of their options are poison - If we don't do as they wish, we get a dose of quick acting poison. If we do what they want, we get a dose of slow acting poison. Either way the people are getting screwed.

According to some republicans, drivers license databases are the equivalent of a gun registry. "They're" coming fer your cars AND your guns.
