I'm watching the MSNBC coverage of the Florida Primary, and Chis Matthews has a panel including Jonathan Alter (alleged Liberal) on it.

I was doing the dishes, and I really hope I heard it wrong, but in response to a question about Romney/The GOP, Alter says something to the effect of...

Paraphrasing: "He's even making the point of OccupyWallStreet, which should be discredited by the Fall."

I REALLY hope I got that wrong, because while Jonathan may want to get us all in line for the coming election, to ME... this has the EXACT OPPOSITE EFFECT !!!

So Jon... if I heard it wrong... I apologize... If I did not...

I missed that part, so can't confirm or deny, but I'd be very disappointed if he said that. Occupy may not be in its present form by the spring, but it sure isn't going to be discredited.

What happened in Oakland was unfortunate, but it seems like the police there over-react. They can't just indiscriminately arrest everyone who's in the area or beat people up, which seems to be what happens. You would think they'd get better training than that.
