1. Is Doocey a proper noun?

Or an adjective?

And a dessert topping.

3. Huh? Don't tell me you really don't understand the point they are trying to make.

There is a study out that says once children hit third grade, those that did attend preschool statistically are not academically further ahead than those children who did not attend preschool. Unless of course your point was just to be snarky, you needed to indicate that.

4. Is the point of preschool to put children ahead of their non-preschool peers?

Or to put them at a level footing come kindergarten?

6. I don't know for sure.

I was not defending anything, just explaining. I think pre-school is probably there to prepare a child to enter kindergarten. After the third grade, apparently tbe difference in academics between those children who did and did not attend pre-school is negligible. I believe the point being made is that if a child does not attend pre-school that does not meen the child is destined to be academically challenged for their entire education and end up with a poor paying job and/or a miserable life.

(Can you tell if I did or did not attend pre-school?)

7. The point is that they are touting one study that says what they want to hear...

...(and it's not clear to me that it does, just that they're jumping on one aspect of it) while dismissing many other studies that indicate a range of benefits.
