(7,720 posts)There is a study out that says once children hit third grade, those that did attend preschool statistically are not academically further ahead than those children who did not attend preschool. Unless of course your point was just to be snarky, you needed to indicate that.

(7,720 posts)I was not defending anything, just explaining. I think pre-school is probably there to prepare a child to enter kindergarten. After the third grade, apparently tbe difference in academics between those children who did and did not attend pre-school is negligible. I believe the point being made is that if a child does not attend pre-school that does not meen the child is destined to be academically challenged for their entire education and end up with a poor paying job and/or a miserable life.
(Can you tell if I did or did not attend pre-school?)
