Pat Robertson: Goodwill Sweaters Could Have Demons,

OMG, not again ...

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/26/pat-robertson-goodwill-sweaters-demons-praying-video_n_2766810.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular

Usually when one buys clothes second-hand at shops like Goodwill, one just wonders whether it's been laundered properly. But Pat Robertson brought an entirely new worry to the fore on Monday's episode of his "700 Club" program. Responding to an email sent in by a viewer, the elderly televangelist said that, while not all clothes have demonic spirits attached to them, it never hurts to take some precautionary measures.

One never knows what one might learn on an episode of the "700 Club," Robertson's long-running daily program on the Christian Broadcasting Network.

Robertson has used the show to air his views on everything from Islam (a "demonic economic and political system with a religious veneer") to presidential politics (he claimed last year God had told him who win the election; it's unclear whether God passed along the real answer or had just been pulling Robertson's leg).

Perhaps one of his most notable episodes in recent memory also featured a response to a viewer. In November, Robertson stunned many fundamentalist Christians when he told the viewer that science proves the Earth is billions, not thousands of years old.

6. Why can't I make money by saying some of the stupidest things

This asshole get all kinds of money from his dumb sheep. How do they know even if the sweater is new, that some demonic fuck could have tried it on before they bought it.

10. You could, if you applied yourself

Here's how I believe this works:

You see idiots giving money to con artists and charlatans.

You look at the victims who are being conned, and think, How can they be so dumb?

Eventually, the passive stupidity of the victims starts to make you mad.

Then you think, They deserve it. People like this, who won't even try to think critically, just don't need to be carrying around a lot of extra cash.

Then, it's an easy ethical shortcut to: If they deserve it, and they have money to waste on con artists and charlatans, then the con artists and charlatans are, in a way, providing a valuable service.

The final part of the equation is where you decide to provide that valuable service (i.e., the act of taking their money).

So, I believe the best answer to "Why can't I make money by saying some of the stupidest things" is: Because there are more fulfilling ways to live, than conning stupid people out of their money.

8. Tell us quick, Pat. What precautionary measures do we need to take?

Is it's anything like an exorcism or is it a ritual that an ordinary person can perform?

13. Does this explain socks that 'disappear' in the dryer?

Could it be demonic 'possession'?

19. Lord I hope so! I've been mystified by that one for years. I concluded that some dryers have black

holes in them and the sock (only one of a pair) gets sucked into them. But ... I think Pat's onto something here ... it could be the sweaters sucking them up!

15. This would make one hell of a plot for a Stephen King novel

(pun intended )

In fact, it may be the only one he hasn't used.

16. What about brand new department store clothes. Someone could've tried an outfit on and left a demon

in it or on it. Ooooooooooo scary stuff.
