Tony Blair: People are still 'very abusive' to me 10 years after the Iraq War

In comments which could be interpreted as self-pitying Mr Blair said that it did not matter whether the continuing controversy about Iraq had “taken a toll on me”.

He said that Iraq’s Saddam Hussein was “20 times as bad” as Syria’s President Assad but admitted that it would take a “generation” to make Iraq safer than it was in 2003.

Mr Blair is still crticised for sending British troops into Iraq on March 20, 2003 in the mistaken belief that its Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.

In the weeks leading up to the invasion, more than one million people marched through London against the Iraq invasion.

1. You ought to be glad that "abusive" is all they are

given the blood on your hands.

You should be arrested and tried as a war criminal.

What's this world coming to when a lying warmonger who knowingly starts and profits from a bloody invasion that kills, mutilates and displaces millions can't get respect

He's probably pissed because he can't even get a dinner reservation at Angus Beef in London and he looks over a Bushie doing speeches, hanging out, getting plastered...and he says "why can't I have that guys life".

14. Mr Blair - those who forget history

are doomed to repeat it.

Will you complain about Jewish people being upset about the Holocaust, even though it was 70 years ago?

How about all those Chinese complaining about about the Rape of Nanking, even though it was 75 years ago?

18. I feel for the families of the 179 brits killed since 2003

With estimates of 100,000 civilians, and 179 British soldiers, killed since 2003, Mr Blair conceded that the price of the Iraq war had been “very, very high”.

I can only wish (horrible way to phrase this) that America suffered 179 deaths since 2003.

23. I think people have been very kind to him considering the deadly lies he told

that got so many innocent human beings slaughtered and tortured and maimed and left without their loved ones for the rest of their lives.

Millions of innocent human beings were brutally destroyed either physically or emotionally by him and his fellow war criminals and I have to give all of them credit for their restraint.

He is clearly a sociopath, he appears to be unable to have one iota of empathy for those harmed by his lies and can think only of himself. He actually wants us all to think highly of him regardless of the war crimes he is responsible for.

I keep hoping that one day the West will follow the example of South America and even after decades, will finally start the long overdue prosecutions, even if it has to be posthumously. It's clear that no one in power today has the ethics, the moral character or the courage to do it. But victims never forget and injustice may take a while to be corrected, but I have faith that Tony and his war criminal cohorts will one day receive the justice they denied so many others.

He should go away and stop reminding people of his crimes if he had any intelligence at all.

Due in no small part to your chearleading for the invasion.

If the worst that happens to you is that people are "very abusive" for the rest of your life, you'll get off easier than you deserve.
