2. I know -- together! Were they holding hands walking up to the table????

So far, pretty much along party lines -- don't know if I've heard a crossover since I tuned in.

3. Only unexpected "aye": Rand Paul. Now I have to have a new grudging respect

for him. Crap.

11. I have to wonder why, but do give him a nod for going against the Republican

grain -- although he's distancing himself from the party somewhat, anyway.

10. Small ALERT tag at the bottom of screen: Senate Confirms Chuck Hagel to be next Defense

Secretary.

Voting is still open, so there's been no big announcement from the floor.

MSNBC has cut to it now with Breaking News.

A done deal.

13. Yeah, it said "Charles Timothy" on the screen and I thought, who? LOL.

I'm slow on the uptake today.

15. How long was Chuck Hagel grilled by those petulant Senators?

Wasn't it close to 8 hours? While Senators walked in and out?

I do not want to read Chuck Hagel gave a poor performance...

How well would anyone do stuck in a chair for that long...
