Freepers .. eat your hearts out...

WASHINGTON Dozens of prominent Republicans including top advisers to former President George W. Bush, four former governors and two members of Congress have signed a legal brief arguing that gay people have a constitutional right to marry, a position that amounts to a direct challenge to Speaker John A. Boehner and reflects the civil war in the party since the November election.

2. Social conservatism is dying.

Marriage equality in every state is inevitable.

3. Once the Republican party has lost the issue - they will also lose the support of bible thumpers

the interesting question is - will they find enough social moderates to replace the loss of fundies who will no longer provide the same support

8. It'll be interesting to see where the bible thumpers go.

They certainly won't go quietly into the night because it's impossible to shut them up.

10. Only as much as they are impediments to making real progress.

That is there specialty. If they fade into irrelevance, that would be fine with me.

4. Social conservatives suck. It's good to know they're becoming more irrelevant with each election.

5. The freepers and baggers left those people behind long ago, though. They're too liberal.

And reality doesn't bother them one single bit as they isolate themselves and drool over their dried food, guns, ammo and weird religious tracts.

7. Meanwhile, Republicans spend millions on DOMA

They should all go live in a third world country, because that's the type of "leadership" they want to provide, and that isn't what America stands for.
