Do the phone apps have more to say to each other than we do???
Mobile device connections growing quickly

BARCELONA — Sometime this year, the world will cross a threshold: There will be more mobile device connections than there are humans.
That doesn’t mean every soul on the planet will have a cell phone. But data released Monday by GSMA, an association of cell operators whose Mobile World Congress just opened for a four-day run in Barcelona, shows the total number of mobile connections surging to 7.4 billion this year, up from 6.8 billion in 2012. The world population sits at about 7.1 billion, and is growing far more slowly.
2. I have a confession: I have 3 mobile phones used only by me.
One is a work phone for calling my customers. I never answer it unless I'm working.
One is used as my "home phone." It's actually my former land line number, but I ported it to PAYGo phone several years ago. I never answer it anymore--it's just telemarketers and fundraisers anyway. It's like a spare gmail account now--for the spammers. I have the ringers set to never make a sound unless someone leaves a voicemail.
The last one is my personal cell phone for friends and family. That's my "real" phone number. It's a good, easy-to-remember number that I've had since 2001.
