TSA cuts costs by asking passenger to search themselves.

Apparently in a move inspired by Mitt Romney's policy of "self-deportation", TSA is doing more with less by having passengers perform self-patdowns during the pre-boarding security check.

Leaving Bullhead City AZ last week--and trust me from is the only direction you want to go--my g/f after clearing the nudie scanner was asked to pat down her pockets and rub her hands up and down her legs while the female TSA agent demonstrated.

No that is not from the Onion, and no I did not--indeed could not--make that up. And of course it begs the question, why is a TSA search necessary prior to boarding a charter flight at an airport with a terminal the size of a small house in the middle of the desert and maybe two fights on a busy day.

4. Maybe they should have made her pinky swear?

Better yet, put a big box behind a big curtain with a sign that says "Honor System--Please Drop Your WMDs, Razor Knives and Underwear Bombs Here."

5. Probably be every bit as effective as what they do now.

With the added advantage of not pissing off half the population.

6. Does not compute

How, "pat down your pockets and rub your hands up and down your legs while the female TSA agent demonstrates," would do more with less?

7. Sources: LAX Passenger Arrested for public lewdness at TSA checkpoint.

Police were summoned after the female Seattle bound passenger began repeatedly touching herself between her legs in view of many passengers including children. The passenger claimed she was self-administering an enhanced patdown as instructed by the TSA.

17. "When I think about you"...

Question is... At any point could I violate my own rights and sue the TSA?
