Soledad O'Brien is out as a host on CNN
What a shame. It was fun to watch her call bullsh*t on the liars and spinners.

Joe Scabs would go nuts. Man, I would pay big money to see
Joe have a last day on morning Joe w/him knowing that he was getting shit canned, Mika was staying, and Soledad was replacing him. |

They're pissed that he didn't support the goof de jour during last year's clown car demolition derby, he's called for gun control laws and is viewed as a "RINO"/establishment type.
If Joey had a political future he'd be living it, not hanging inside a teevee studio in New York City. The Florida rushpublicans passed him up for Senate and his name is never mentioned for any office. Joey loves to think he's the next Raygun... |

35. Power Vs. Money...
|
I tried looking but couldn't find any details on Joey's latest deal but I will assume he makes more with MSNBC than he would if he were still a congresscritter (174k a year). I'm betting that Joey took the safe broadcast gig...kinda like a former player or coach...cause he saw his future in the party restricted. I'm certain that if he could have moved up to Senator or Governor he would have jumped at the chance...the power trumps the money.
Cheers... |

|
Theres a whole list of people starting with Phil Donahue that have been waylayed because they didn't tow the line.
Soledad is the latest but not the last. I worry for Rachel. You can bet your sweet bippy that some of the big wigs were and are offended by her show and to them she might have crossed the line with mondays show. You know the people who pushed for that war, the people who stood to profit, yes those people. They're ruthless I might add. |

29. If Rachel gets fired she will run for office. she knows she is smart enough to do it,
|
and I would bet dollars to doughnuts that after Liz Warrren won that Senate Seat, the people who don't like her (rachel) learned their lesson and would rather she be asking questions form a newsdesk than a Congressional Commitee. Rachel won't go anywhere until RACHEL decides.
'Nuff said. |

36. Rachel has some clout
|
her show is the highest rated on MSNBC. They got hurt badly when Olbermann left, and since Rachel is the 'star' of the network, there would have to be something huge for her to be gone.
I do wonder if that is why some things were left out of her special, or that they only went to the startup to the war. |

She was too good to work for such a RW propaganda machine.
The up side for her is that since her production company can shop the documentaries around she can make what she wants and CNN won't be able to censor them. |
