It is definitely a sad situation, not only with the death itself but the disturbing undertones of gun/paranoia issues and domestic violence.

But from a purely detached perspective, it is somewhat oddly fascinating to see a celebrity murder trial not based in the US. It's almost as if you are looking through the other side of the looking glass at a foreigner's view of the OJ Trial back in 1994-95.

Just my $0.02/0.18 Rand.

Especially as SA has marked differences from our justice system since they gave up jury trials.

And after learning about the allegations yesterday against Botha, and his alleged missteps conducting this investigation, we were comparing the case to the OJ trial....
