*Watch 'A murder of crows' on PBS, NATURE.

VERY interesting!

edit: "Murder" is the collective noun for crows, as "unkindness" is collective for ravens. (That bit of 'trivia' thanks to NYC_SKP!)

3. I watched it and it is absolutely stunning.

It has numerous scientific studies detailing who extremely intelligent Crows are.

One was an experiment that showed how Crows identify and remember 'friendly' and 'unfriendly' humans.

The multi year study had a stunning turn when they discovered that not only had the parents remembered a 'friendly' ( they had a human with an oversized head mask on interact through the years) but that the second generation had retained this information.

Also they showed how Crows cooperate and when one died they congregated for what amounts to be a funeral and stayed perched for some time in quiet rememberance.

An absolutely stunning scientific show.

One of the best ever.

4. Right. Seeing it again.

Was hoping my friend would watch with me, as he FEEDS them around his house, and pays attention to their behavior, but unfortunately he's napping!

8. I feed the crows at my house. They post a member of their family outside and when I come out

he alerts the other crows. Their favorite human foods? Anything with eggs and macaroni and cheese.
