I was working, and missed this- "Herman Cain backs Gingrich for president "

Now- If the Democratic Party can't take advantage of THIS during the election...

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Former presidential hopeful Herman Cain threw his support behind Newt Gingrich Saturday night, providing the former House speaker with a late boost just days before Florida's primary.

Cain, a tea party favorite, endorsed his fellow Georgian at a GOP fundraiser Saturday calling him "a patriot."

"Speaker Gingrich is not afraid of bold ideas," Cain said.

The former pizza executive, who left the race before the first nominating contests after facing accusations of unwanted sexual advances, suggested the two have both undergone intense scrutiny.

"I know that Speaker Gingrich is running for president and going through this sausage grinder," Cain said. "I know what this sausage grinder is all about."

...and the totally juvenile part of me laughed about "Sausage grinder".

Cain certainly isn't going to be taking any potshots at Newt for cheating on his wife. Of course Calista is prettier and skinnier than his previous wives which may have something to do with it.

Lets see, his first girlfriend was his geometry teacher, the he divorced his first wife when he had cancer, then he divorced his second wive for having MS then he asked his third wife for an open marriage. The man sure does get around.

When it comes to weirdness Santorum is the way to go. Earlier this year he took his dead son home to meet his brothers and sisters. How messed up is that!

I hope it keeps Gingrich in for at least another couple months so Team Romney has less time and resourses to focus on Obama.
