4. None. She will not be the candidate.

But maybe in 2024. I love her in the Senate just where she is...being a pain in the ass to wall street and bankers. Love her!

9. Beat me to it.

Warren's current office is the ONLY elected position she's ever held.

19. The current President had run for the U.S. House, had

served several years in the Illinois Senate and was a political star. Not to mention that he was a natural when it came to politicking.

11. She is perfect where she is

battling for the working class. She will become a power within herself in the U.S. Senate.

13. As fond as I am of Senator Warren,

and as delighted as I'd be to see her as our next President, did I somehow miss something? Did we hold the primaries and the nominating convention already?

14. I certainly hope Warren is the Democratic nominee - I also hope Rick Santorum is the GOP nominee

but it is more likely to be Paul Ryan or Marco Rubio

15. I disagree

I dont want Santorum to have any possible chance of winning.

No one can tell this soon what the political climate is going to be like in 4 years. All this talk about the GOP being finished and in disarray, etc, etc was the same talk going around about the Democrats in 2004.

The political winds can shift in this country in unpredictable ways. And when they do shift, they historically favor the party that is out of power. A Santorum presidency would set this country back decades.

16. I see your point. Robert Reich cautioned Democrats not to get giddy over the idea of Newt Gingrich

becoming the Republican nominee - as he put it he would rather risk a 40% chance of a Romney presidency than risk a 10% chance of a Gingrich presidency. Santorum is so cuckoo - it is hard to imagine that he could win. But hey I'm originally from PA myself and he one the Senate there twice in a state that usually goes Democratic on the national scale. Under the wrong atmosphere a complete nut becomes electable. It happened in 1980. And these nuts make Reagan look almost sensible in comparison.

17. They are going to go with a "safe" Southern Geezer

No teabaggers, no policy wonks, just an affable old cracker who will get out the vote.

18. Warren is smart. No way will she run in 2016.

Why? She doesn't have the experience. And I don't mean the experience to be President. I mean the experience to run. Obama had run for the House and served several terms in the Illinois Senate. He had experience in the political sphere.
