1. Of course Hagel voted in favor of the War in Iraq. Let us remember that 23 of his peers voted NO

So if it was the worst mistake since Vietnam, it was a mistake Hagle made, not one he opposed, he bought into the WMD hunt and did not criticize Bush or the war for 5 full years of fighting.
Not that speaking that truth is welcome around here. The first panel pretends Hagel opposed the very war he supported like the Republican he is.
I don't support one Republican just 'cause the others don't like him. I don't pretend war makers are peace makers for sport and convenience either.

2. Everything you say is true, but at least Hagel changed his mind unlike his GOP fellows McCain....

Graham and the rest. Sometimes having the guts to change your mind when presented with the evidence is a positive attribute.

Just saying.

5. A lot of guts.

And it seems to be a change based on true conviction. It is surely not a trick to increase he campaign contributions.

4. Based on the title of the OP

I came in assuming it was going to be another rant bemoaning DU's Liberal/Progressive posters.

6. DC holds truth in such high respect because they have so little opportunity to get familiar with it

11. I respect that he is telling the truth. But cant forgive him his vote to allow Bush to

kill hundreds of thousands of innocent people. Sorry, but IMO you can not cleanse your soul with an apology.

14. I think McCain and Hegel argued about something

like maybe McCain's lousy vp pick? Anyway other than that I think McCain is afraid Hegel may run for President and he wants to make sure he bloodies him a bit.
