NC lawmaker: Women should ‘duct tape’ nipples to stay out of jail

Real men use Duct tape and I guess women also...

North Carolina Republican state Rep. Tim Moore says that women can protect themselves from a new law that makes baring female breasts illegal by simply applying duct tape to their nipples.

On Wednesday, the state House Judiciary Committee C approved House Bill 34, which makes it a Class H felony to purposefully expose “private parts” for the “purpose of arousing or gratifying sexual desire.”

The bill expands the state’s definition of “private parts” to include a woman’s “nipple, or any portion of the areola.”

Republican state Rep. Rayne Brown told lawmakers that she was co-sponsoring the bill because activists had held a topless women’s rights rally in Asheville last summer, where as many as a dozen women bared their breasts (NSFW video here).

Although Brown’s district is 100 miles from Asheville, she felt it was important to act before women tried to assert their rights again by going topless at another rally.

“You’ve got local governments passing ordinances to protect themselves from just this thing,” she explained. “These folks don’t need to be doing that, but they do it because they’re not sure about the law.”

Under the proposed law, women could spend up to six months in jail for a first offense. “Incidental” nipple exposure by breastfeeding mothers would be exempt from the law.

Democratic state Rep. Annie Mobley said she worried that women wearing “questionable fashions” could be prosecuted under the new rules.

But Committee Chairwoman Rep. Sarah Steven (R) suggested that women could use pasties or nipple coverings just to be safe.

“They’d be good to go” with nipple coverings, Stevens said.

“You know what they say, duct tape fixes everything,” Republican state Rep. Tim Moore agreed.

1. And it wouldn't apply to men?

Are they not capable of exposing nipples for deliberate sexual arousal?

state law requires male "junk" (actual wording of the statute) must be completely wrapped in duct tape whether clothed or not. little known fact. pube shaving is almost a survival skill.

17. NJ seems to have a lot of nutwits anymore from what I've read. I've run across that

in the Midwest ... people proud of the fact they've never been to the east or west coasts, like that is where all of the heathens live or some nuttiness like that.

Then, we have the ones that spout off wacky concepts like they are world travelers and know everything ... and you come to find they've never been outside of the US, not even to Canada or Mexico.

And the Fox News viewers who tell one ... you should never listen to any news broadcast outside of the US because it's ALL propaganda against US. All of this is always a WTF to me.

It's no wonder some in the US are so damn backward, ignorant and disgusting.

19. Every place where I traveled by car to the USA had Fox News on their public TVs

It was very creepy

I do remember an enjoyable oil change visit in North Carolina. passing around my 50 dollar Canadian bill that also had brille on it for blind people...

The other people were amazed....I also mentioned my wonderful health care..They were amazed again...

They are always awed by my personal experiences with a son and husband going through cancer care and not one cent billed to us

42. I've stopped to get gas, food, pit stops, etc. and I've been freaked out by the

people around me. I'm friendly, get along with about anyone unless they are real wackos, and I've been a bit concerned. There are definitely some strange people.

Over the years I've traveled a lot in the US, but over the past decade, or a bit more, it's become pretty strange in some areas IMO. I don't even travel much at night anymore in some areas. The RWingers have really ruined much of this country ... and what really irks me is they talk about less gov., less this, less that and really, they are just the opposite. Many are control freaks, supremacists, seeking power, control and authoritarianism over everyone, at any cost, and many would like to set themselves up as dictators touting their weapons all over the place.

And where RW government has ensued, they are more invasive than anyone. Frankly, I find it all very creepy. Some of America I've written off as places I never want to visit again. I've been in almost every state and worked in many in the better times. Some places have drastically changed IMO, and not for the better.

The Republican representative who introduced this bill is a member of ALEC, as are all the other Republicans elected in recent years. The state is now occupied by the Koch Brothers and they keep saying that they want our state to be more like its neighbors, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Many idiots in NC voted for these Republicans because they believed the ads about jobs.
