Help me unfreep this poll on Rubio and his water bottle

I voted that his clumsiness symbolized today's Republican Party.

5. well, the top choice was over 70% before

now, it's around 50%.

So, it has changed since I first posted the link.

6. well, in the grand scheme of things

it's not really a story, but it does show that he might not be ready for prime time.

7. I completely disagree. Drinking water when one is thirsty is a perfectly normal, natural action.

Even when one is on TV.

I think people who are trying to make an issue of it may end up looking like asses.

10. As I said above

in the grand scheme of things, it's not important. However, IMO, it shows that's he's not quite ready for the national stage. I'm a terrible public speaker, but I know before I do any sort of presentation, I grab a drink of water right before, so I don't have to awkwardly reach across the table to get it while making my presentation, or don't have to stop in the middle to get a drink. Rubio's normally a good speaker and he should have handlers to prep him, yet he still forgot to get a drink beforehand and the closest drink was not close at hand.

13. well, look at what has changed perceptions of presidential candidates

Gerald Ford stumbling became symbolic after Chevy Chase mocked him for it on Saturday Night Live.

George H.W. Bush looking at his watch during a debate cost him dearly, as did Al Gore sighing over George Bush's lies in 2000.

14. I regard all of those as petty and irrelevant to a candidate's worth

I also am naturally skeptical of people who are dressed in business attire.

I'm a little "different."

9. When your rise to power is based on little or nothing

then your fall from power can be based on little or nothing.

GOP Savior falls from grace.

Their hopes to make inroads into the Hispanic community for votes dwindle.

It is a pretty good story.

12. The water thing is stupid

Criticize him for the dumb things he said. Not for drinking water or the way he combs his hair or the shape of his nose. That is childish.

but, most of those things are a real pain in the neck - half the time, I have trouble reading them.
