Save Dutch the Service Dog

http://www.thepetitionsite.com/590/736/158/save-dutch-the-service-dog/

Target: Government officials of the city of Montrose, Colorado
Sponsored by: J Drake

Dutch was accused of being a "vicious" dog and is now in danger of euthanization by court order.

Last November, he bit someone and left puncture wounds. The person who was bit admits that they spent several minutes punching, kicking, and hitting him with a metal pole before he retaliated. Read Dutch's full story here: http://www.dogheirs.com/dogheirs/posts/2744-disabled-veteran-asks-for-public-support-service-dog-faces-euthanasia-for-biting-woman-who-beat-him-with-metal-pole

Send a message to the City of Montrose animal control office to stop the unwarranted euthanization of an Army Veteran's service dog by signing and sharing this petition.

Just wants this poor dog she tortured DEAD. That's what it boils down to, and she should be in prison right now if we actually had laws in this country. Our legal system is SHIT.

There needs to be justice for people like her. Animal abusers can get buy with ANYTHING they want to do but the dog defends itself and has to die. Something needs to be done nationally about animal abuse. There can be all the petitions in the world sent around but I am sick to death of the need for them.

Someone needs to do something about people like this sub-human female (I will not call it human) who is demanding that this dog die after beating him. I really don't care what as long as society doesn't have to keep putting up with her bull shit.

did no good. It was a real story because I read up on it in valid news sources, even after the euthanization. I don't think the dog was a service dog, though.

This story could be true, though. It probably happens a lot.

I hope nothing happens to him. It just isn't fair. My heart is aching for poor Dutch.

This story just breaks my heart... I had to walk away from the computer for a while to get some air. Unfortunately, there's only so much that 'air' can do for you.

Once a govt entity has determined that a dog is dangerous, I don't see how any petition can stop the euthanizing. Because they still have what they consider a dangerous dog on their hands that they can't let out in the public.

I wonder about the prior owner...she was housing this huge dog AND a pit bull...together. And that's how the dog fight started. Duh. Dutch was not a service dog at the time. His breed is a guard dog.

How very sad. Dutch should've been properly kenneled and not left to be alone with a pit bull. Dutch is paying the price for the owner's bad decision.

Then the court issues an euthanasia order you are not going to change it. Most owners voluntarily surrender custody of the dog to animal control once it attacks someone and then the humane society euthanize it.
