I didn't see Marco & the water bottle.

I listened to SOTU on the radio & then turned it off.

I don't give a fuck about Rubio & the water bottle.

It's nice, I guess, if he destroyed himself with the water bottle, but I'm kinda disgusted that this is the sort of event by which Presidential candidacies and elections are decided.

Really--WTF does it say about our culture, our wisdom, our capacity for self-rule that the water bottle incident has risen to such significance?

Although, truth to tell, I guess I didn't learn anything from this brouhaha that I didn't already know about our braindead society.

There will be no Zombie Apocalypse. There are no brains to feed them.

You clearly missed the point entirely. This was the guy just on the cover of Time as The Savior Of The Republican Party, and touted as being Reaganesque. Yet he gave a barely high school level speech arguing points the POTUS never made. And it wasn't just the already-famous lunge for the mini water bottle. He repeatedly scratched face or wiped his lips with his fingers. Yep, he's The Savior.

But since you admit to not seeing it, I guess we should all just defer to your incredible insight.

7. Why so hostile? I don't have TV, so I didn't see the Rubio speech, either.

But I have most certainly been following the DU threads about "Rubio and the water bottle" - and there have been a great many popping up.

I find all of it humorous - including your response to Jackpine's OP - why the hell not? Is any of this remotely related to our real lives? I think not.

Us non-TV watchers need to be more careful of what we criticize.

not just the water.

People are talking about it as if it's a gaffe -- it wasn't. It was an implosion that lasted through the whole speech.
