PELOSI: Those people are not going to evaporate from the face of the earth for two years, theyre going to have medical needs and theyre going to be attended to. And the earlier the intervention for it, the less the cost will be and the better the quality of life. I do think we should subject every federal dollar that is spent to the harshest scrutiny. I do think the challenge in Medicare is not Medicare its health care costs in general. [...] There is money to be saved there, I dont think it has to come out of benefits or beneficiaries, and I dont think you have to raise the age.

getting it.
Joe Scar was particularly vomitous today when he went after Pelosi. I think he knows that the cat is out of the bag on what he and other repukes are trying to do to Medicare: Death by a thousand cuts.
He's losing this argument and he knows it. He's getting REAL pissy about it, too...

malignant brain tumor at 64 and was slowly dying. By the time he reached 65 he was at death's door and was barely on Medicare when he finally died.
that's basically when the shit hits the fan, imo. never wore glasses until i was 45, then pow! after that, it's been a steady stream of "things".

(3,102 posts)5. Nancy, you lost ANY credibility on this issue when you supported Chained CPI two months ago. If
you're OK with cutting their SS benefits, then you're OK with hurting them, PERIOD.
