Kansas Koch Brothers Fund Bogus Studies to Kill Renewable Energy

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/elliott-negin/koch-brothers-fund-bogus-_b_2253472.html

You can say one thing about the Koch brothers: They don't let the facts get in their way.

Of course I'm talking about Charles G. and David H. Koch (above), the billionaire owners of Koch Industries, the oil, coal and natural gas conglomerate that's been dubbed the "kingpin of climate science denial."

Last summer, Richard Muller, a Berkeley physicist long skeptical of climate science, went off script and announced that his three-year, Koch-funded investigation verified that global warming is indeed real, is primarily caused by human activity, and is even worse than the climate science community thought.

Did Muller's conclusions prod the Kochs to reconsider their hardline position against wind, solar and other renewable energy--our best bet, besides energy efficiency, to combat global warming? Hardly. The Kochs' minions merely stepped up their ongoing disinformation campaign to scuttle renewable energy on economic grounds.

1. Until we realize how few our real opponents are, we will remain immobilized.

If the majority of the American people realized HOW FEW billionaires are out there, wrecking the National discourse on Climate Change, Social Security, the National Debt, Healthcare etc etc etc etc

We could beat them once and for all.

They are like pufferfish.. They blow themselves up (with the national media, which they own) to make themselves seem like they are too big to tackle.

5. Absolutely true. There needs to be a great awakening among the masses to

realize how F'ed over they are ... why people turn to sources like Fox News, for example, and then spout their talking points is beyond me to grasp anymore. Why is it the typical American does not get how used and propagandized they are ... are people really that stupid?

You can say that again! They are just like Fox News! Which came first? Koch or Fox?

4. I just don't get it

instead of spending billions trying to deny climate change, why don't they just get into the renewables game and make money that way? Are American Business men really that lazy and stupid they can't see the writing on the wall, that it is time to diversify and see new opportunities to make money?

6. Typical with guys like this. They have a revenue stream and would kill off all living creatures to

keep that revenue stream going. Don't ever think they think (and their herd) like the rest of us. In their eyes you and I, the rest of us, are shit. We are in their way other than to buy what they sell. Yes, many business men are lazy and stupid, and that's not unique to Americans. And it's really no different than those that sell arms to the enemy for profit. ... or the MIC, for example, that sees $$$$$ in selling killing machines.
