Every Time Chris Brown Starts Whining "Woe Is Me," Take A Look At This Photo Of Rihanna

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/buster/rihanna/rihanna-beating-photo-875341

After Los Angeles prosecutors yesterday raised http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-chris-brown-20130206,0,2091341.story serious questions about whether he has performed court-ordered community service, the singer whined on Instagram that, “Im wise I can handle the hate but enough is enough, yo!!”

Brown continued, “Im a human being and I honestly think I deserve respect Im sick of being accused ... Im tired yall Just don't understand Ive been going through this shit since I was 19 years old.. you cant sit here and tell me to calm down, when am I gonna get a positive outcome out of anything I do?” He added, “A day in my shoes is a day in hell, believe it or not!”

The 23-year-old performer, of course, has been under siege since he beat http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/crime/lapd-details-rihanna-beating?cid=free_tout the crap out ]of Rihanna. So every time Brown goes into his “woe is me” act, it is helpful to recall the results of his February 2009 handiwork inside a rented Lamborghini.

Rihanna is seen above in a post-beating photo taken at a Los Angeles hospital.

You don't beat your loved ones. If you do, there should be life long repercussions. There is NO excuse, and an apology only goes so far. You cannot undo some of your actions.

Than I am for actions. I hope he NEVER does something like that again.

As to her forgiving him, honestly, she's grown, and I don't think it's my business. I think it would be revictimizing her for the public to tell her how to feel.

He, however, made himself the public's business by being a batterer. Now he's complaining because they are making sure he is doing his community service. Color me unsympathetic in the least, disgusted at most.

Glad you're here! Sheesh - I find myself coming down on the side of Real Hard-Ass on this one.

You are absolutely and unquestionably correct - YOU DON'T BEAT YOUR LOVED ONES. I don't care what the excuse is. DON'T CARE!!!

And you can't just apologize and assume it's all better - if you haven't dealt with what makes YOU beat your loved ones. An apology is empty words and worthless.

I'm afraid I have no pity - OR respect - for Rihanna either. She's obviously learned nothing from being his victim. He's learned nothing, either. Thinks somehow HE is the victim. Which is utter BULLSHIT. If she's stupid enough or gullible enough or naive enough to come back to him, she has no one to blame but herself. He should be in JAIL. He clearly hasn't done squat to deal with what sets him off and try to gain some control of it. And he clearly doesn't seem to think he's done anything wrong. Schmuck. She's an idiot if she stays with him. And a masochist.

Thanks for the welcome!

I can't believe he would complain about having to do community service. Seriously, it's not like they sentenced him for life. He should be thanking his lucky stars.

Good to have you here. I'm guessing you were being sarcastic?

Then again, if she stays, and blindly and naively believes he's reformed and won't do it again, she's just asking for more trouble - and pain and injury, or worse.

...acknowledging that they have the power/responsibility to make their own decisions about leaving/staying (with children being exposed to violence, that's another matter), even though we fear they're walking back into likely violence.

No doubt he's sworn he'll never do it again and it's only because he loves her soooo much and after the media hoopla of _course_ he'll never do it again and he's changed and besides she's no picnic and shouldn't she change her problem of (fill in the blank) too and with her resources and fame she's sooo safe from his ever doing it again and strong passionate artistic men have a hard time controlling themselves and black men are railing against racism so how can she ask him to not express his emasculated black male rage. . . .

I've heard almost every version of these from battered women, minus the I'm famous so now I'm safe argument, over the years. We just keep exposing them to education about batterers and provide support if they leave (even if they go back) and hope that she will develop a strong enough sense of inner worth that she will not tolerate that kind of behavior anymore and that she will empower herself to make the best choices to live a safe, enriching life.

Of course, there are other battered women who believe they have to go back to him because they know they're at greatest risk of death in the initial year after leaving their batterer.

In short, I know those photos are infuriating, but they don't preclude our continuing to have compassion for her and other battered women who choose to say.

These were African American women themselves. They were saying that Rihanna has to be aware of the effect of what she is saying, especially to young women who are at risk of domestic violence themselves. It was an interesting and important segment of the show.

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate both MHP and Chris Hayes on Sat. and Sun.

The guy beat the crap out of her and she keeps going back to him. She's young, talented, wealthy and doesn't have any children with him. What is she, a masochist?

I understand why some women find it hard to get away from an abusive partner; they have no money, they have children with the guy or they are in fear for their life. Rihanna is not in this category.

Well, it's her life, but what a lousy role model for young girls and women.

Good to have you with us! You make an awfully good point here.

I HOPE that asshole is "under seige" since he beat the crap out of Rihanna. I hope it dogs him forever. He really should be in jail. "A day in my shoes is a day in hell"???? Aw, too damn bad, asshole! Boo-fucking-hoo. And he doesn't deserve the respect you'd give your dog after a good poo. Not until or unless he gets help for this anger problem he clearly has. As long as he's "poor me'ing," it's obvious that he doesn't see or understand that he needs help, BADLY!!! Before he kills somebody (like maybe Rihanna).
