From ABCs This Week

This morning on This Week, Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., dismissed recent gestures by prominent members of the GOP suggesting a softening of Republican positions as simply lipstick on a pig.

I think all of this stuff is just surface stuff. Its like lipstick on a pig, Ellison said. I mean, the bottom line is, the Republicans have a core values problem, not a who knows who Tupac Shakur is problem.

12. I heard Tupac is hiding in Cuba with his aunt Assada Shakur!

But Rubio doesn't want to mention the evil island so he won't let on, he he.

It is true that many Tupac fans make a pilgrimage to meet his aunt who escaped to Cuba in the 60s

8. knows Tupac and the whole Biggie gang controversy

and that makes him suitable for President?

I would rather my president knows the Constitution, the art of working with ALL walks of people, knows that trickle down doesn't work, knows that real people suffer and struggle every day. Knows what it is like to be "one of the crowd" Not the elite.

People like Nicole Wallace should just go live in their Taylor Swift Justin Bieber fantasy and leave the adult world to the real adults.

sorry/rant off

11. She and her ilk vote based on the Cult of Personality, so everyone else does, right?

Republicans are masters at projecting, so not surprisingly, they think that everyone votes for their candidate based on petty shit like knowing who is Tupac and Biggie. I can't tell you how many republicans I know think that people who voted for Obama, whom they refer to as "the chosen one", did so for superficial reasons, such as it was "trendy", or solely because he's black--because that's the kind of thing they do. This kind of crap is to be expected from the party that STILL worships Ronald Reagan, despite opposing half of what he stood for. And, they have the gall to call us "sheep"...

9. They are honestly clueless

It's like parents who try to look cool to their teenagers. It just winds up to be embarassing. There is no way that they see what non-Republicans see when they look at them or their policies.

10. Wow.

They really DO have a low opinion of minorities, don't they? And, the general public, for that matter.

13. Rep. Keith Ellison is a riot, and I bet he knows

how racist many of the white Cubans are who left Cuba in the 50s and 60s. That isn't saying Rubio is but the exile environment is rife.
