Orangutan-Anti-Defamation League to Sue Bill Maher for $5 Million Over Slanderous Trumper Claim
San Diego Zoo, San Diego, CA – The Orangutan-Anti-Defamation League, a previously unknown simian rights group, announced today that on behalf its members and all orangutans, it has filed a $5 million civil lawsuit for slander against Bill Maher, host of Real Time with Bill Maher. The focus of the suit, according to an attorney for OADL, is the result of Mr. Maher's slanderous and belittling claim on a recent appearance of the Tonight Show. During the appearance Mr. Maher commented that he believed that Donald Trump was the illegitimate love child of an “orange-haired orangutan and Mr. Trump’s mother”. “Mr. Maher knows that his actions are without basis in fact and beyond the jungle of acceptable behavior, either animal or human. The attorney noted that by making the connection between the beloved orange-haired orangutan species and Donald Trump, Mr. Maher, had done irreparable damage to all orangutan-kind.
