Dryer vent is cleared of snow and so the Laundry Project for my snow day indoors is going forward with only minor delays!
It took three shovelings and two changes of pants not covered by the tops of my boots, but it is done!
Now I can somewhat relax over the issue of carbon monoxide backing up in the house (chimney takes care of the furnace issue). Those appear to be some of the major big worries with the snow here in CT...

I absolutely hate snow, don't know how you guys deal with it so much over in that part of the country.

(63,708 posts)get the four feet of snow on the flat part of my roof removed (who does that?). It was a bad year.
Growing up in Texas, we just didn't have snow. So I never knew how to deal with it, walk in it, and especially drive in it. It was a whole new learning curve, but I'm used to it now.
It's kinda pretty today. And it does make for a beautiful spring flower garden!

much to the delight of intrepid Bon Jovi fans who want to see their concert at the Mohegan in Uncasville.
UPDATE: Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora has just tweeted: "The show has been rescheduled. We're doin a free show for those already here." They were planning to do a live stream for the first half hour from their web site at 7:30 EST -- hopefully, that's still on.

(3,539 posts)If you have the carbon monoxide problems resolved.
Take some down time.
Kick back, sit in front of the fire, watch a movie, read a book,,,
Part of staying safe is not pushing you're self too far.

(63,708 posts)street! I can only see the top sides of my car! But in the sun everything dazzles and it's super quiet. No newspaper delivery today so I'm reading my library books, deep into my art book on the Impressionists...
