So God made a banker

To be read in the voice of Paul Harvey.

And on the eighth day God looked down on his planned paradise and said, I need someone who can flip this for a quick buck.

So God made a banker.

God said, I need someone who doesnt grow anything or make anything but who will borrow money from the public at 0% interest and then lend it back to the public at 2% or 5% or 10% and pay himself a bonus for doing so.

So God made a banker.

God said, I need someone who will take money from the people who work and save, and use that money to create a dotcom bubble and a housing bubble and a stock bubble and an oil bubble and a commodities bubble and a bond bubble and another stock bubble, and then sell it to people in Poughkeepsie and Spokane and Bakersfield, and pay himself another bonus.

So God made a banker...

1. I don't like stereotypes against people, and 99% of bankers are hard workers.

Maligning a whole industry for a political cause reeks of ism'ist thinking.

IMHO
because banks supply jobs for hundreds of thousands of 99%pers.

If one uses the 99% thingy one way, it needs to be interpolated freely into any discussion.

Same with Wall Street.

and i don't like to see the hard workers who work in banks and in a Wall Street company

Nobody but hotdog and food vendors, actually works ON Wall Street itself, the work is done inside a building off of a street named Wall Street, and the truism actually is, most CEO's are in buildings not found anywhere near Wall Street anymore. Some are on park Avenue, some are in other states.

and I like NYC hot dog vendor hot dogs, the best in the world, most tastiest, and they now have lots of other food sold from trucks. Those are the people that work ON Wall Street
(as opposed to someone who might work in a building off of Wall Street.)

but that is my opinion, feel free to argue it.

5. What about the 99% of the workers who work for a bank or Wall street?

What about those banks that are not doing well?
What about any bank teller?
What about the person who answers phones in a bank?

Surely you are NOT intimating that being unemployed is better.

This whole tear it down, burn it down thingydingy.
Then what happens to allt hese people the next morning

oh, yeah, there will be those who whine that more people don't have a job.
The Whine industry is really a profitable on the alt-net places.
Without cases of bottles of whine, they don't make their money.

again, what about the day after one "burns it down".
(then its onto a new case of whine for the alt-media, who thrive, like Rush LImbaugh does on being able to continually whine).(and note, the alt-media would love to be as big as Rush and make 50million each. Most times I think those in the alt-media are just jealous. Then they get the big-money and voila, they are like Bob Woodward, the outsider becomes the insider.
(pun intended).

imho

3. BTW2- I am Jewish. Now the original article uses God to make a nasty joke/analogy

Now in the older Jewish times, in Egypt back when Jews were slaves, according to the books we read, Jewish people were slaves.

And the one thing Jewish people were NOT allowed to do as slaves was touch the precious food their slaveowners grew(ala the crops).
Jewish hands were not permitted to touch the food.

Therefore, Jewish people needed to find another way to work.
They in the coming years developed a taste for accounting and statistical work and in dealing with mathematics, and the counting of money and the making of money.

So, when someone like the story in the OP posted link makes a comment about God and all,
well, it reeks to me, a Jewish person of being a backways form of racism.

Now, this is not widely known really, and is controversial. SO I never blame any poster
and this is not directed against the poster.

HOWEVER, this directed to the link from marketwatch.com and whomever came up with this
story, which reeks of anti-semitism.
and is like using now racist words or objects like say, the KKK or the Dixie Flag.

IMHO, feel free to disagree with it.
And maybe I am a little touchy because I am Jewish about this subject. Apologize if so.

But instead of a wide stereotype why not specifically say which bankers itself, by name
are the problem.

There is good and bad everywhere.
Good is 99% of anything
Bad is 1%.
but lets not put 100% into 1%.

and is the original piece by marketwatch saying God made Jews slaves so they couldn't touch food crops (produce), and therefore made them bankers and number people like accountants and CPAs?
Sometimes the times dictate what job one has to do then and now.

imho.

6. read what i wrote, it is very evident, & I don't need to repeat myself,though I could.and will.

The author of the original story about God creating bankers is offensive to Jewish people.
It is as bad as a transparent racist joke, but done covertly.
But the God created bankers is not funny to Jewish people, and I am Jewish.

It is as offensive as the Dixie Flag is racist. Though it is more covert and not transparent.

IMHO and I am Jewish, and offended by it.

No biggie, except to those who are also offended by the use in the original article of God creating bankers and putting words in God's mouth too would be offensive to others I bet.

(btw, if one is a believer furthering the analogy out, then God likes Bankers and those working on and around Wall Street, and in buildings off of Wall Street that have Wall Street in the stereotyped word.
Wall Street itself is cobbledstone, and the only workers working Wall Street are the food vendors themselves, btw, with their tasty hot dogs and other food.

Food vendors btw, are the great equalizer as anyone with just one dollar in their pocket
(and that would include those on the street who ask for help, and someone gives them a dollar) from the top CEO to a homeless person, anyone can eat and does at a food vendor on the street. And they work hard and for little. But I am getting a little off topic but when one uses the word Banksters and Wall Street (and by one, I mean anyone in the alt-media and in person) that would indeed include the street vendors. As they actually do work on Wall Street.

IMHO feel free to disagree.
(and I am not overly religious, nor do I care what religion anyone is, or if a good% don't believe at all, that is fine by me, religion is specifically not allowed to interfere with our Government as written by the founding fathers themselves.

8. I am. I would like the alt-media writer in the article linked to write a retraction.

which is why I brought it up in the first place.

Maybe the writer who wrote the article linked in the OP, who made an anti-semitic posting, will see it and write a retraction that he didn't realize.

Again, the original article by the professional author in the link in the magazine, makes a direct slur as bad as if he wrote the words Dixie Flag in it and connated the bad things a Dixie Flag stands for.

9. Are you saying I should seek mental help because one doesn't agree with my writing?

Just want to clarify what is meant by saying "seek help".

I am NOT smiling.

imho, feel free to disagree.

10. Good One!

Bankers have gotten us into trouble more times than I can remember. It's about time try gave they looked themselves in the mirror and questioned their morality. Many bartenders become alcoholics. many bankers become terminally greedy, especially the bank owners.

11. As the speculation mounts, so does the destruction of our natural world.

The destruction of the way of life trumpeted by the very ad this article mocks and rightly so.
