8. He's safe for the rest of his life at FS! Actually could be a she. Don't want to be sexist!

But some of those marks might just be fat rolls.

9. True...they look kind of dark...if he/she is old...

That could explain it...but he/she certainly looks happy now!

11. Some of the rescuees come from very hard conditions.

The gestation crates are the absolute worst.

17. I know.

The Humane Society United States has pressured a lot of factory farms across the country to gives the animals more space, so it's getting better but still so sad.

15. ... can't see link, is that the one from Indy?

About a month ago an ENORMOUS pot-belly was captured living with a colony of feral cats on the outskirts of the city. No idea where he came from, nobody claimed him. He hung out at Animal Care & Control for a week or so until a rescue took him in.

16. That piggy now lives in Farm Sanctuary, located in upstate New York.

They post pics of their rescuees all the time. Glad the pot-belly was rescued. How interesting that he lived with the cats!

18. This is Gene Bauer with one of his rescuees.

He and his wife founded Farm Sanctuary, with locations in New York and California. They are saints, imo!
