3. Note how the actual storm track is close but shifted North...

http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/winter-weather

Wonder if that will be a new feature for coming storms?

5. Oh yeah. But the pre-photoshop was for a several year-old storm.....

and I just noticed how similar it was to this storm - just shifted North....

20. I see Mass will get hit hard. I lived there during the winter of 65-66, and I remember

knee deep snow. I lived on Fort Devens at the time. Snow drifts were good for cooling the beer.

7. Yeah...

the liquor store part is about right. I have friends and relatives in southern NH and way out on the cape, the local reports say that enormous waves for inside Mass Bay are expected, waves that wold be normally expected on the ocean side will be inside the Bay, that's gonna leave a mark.

11. How many are there?

That will give you a pretty good ball park estimate right there.

13. Oh nos, my son lives in NYC and has trichotilomania

Which means he pulls out his hair.

And he can't drink cuz he's a recovering alcoholic.

Fortunately, he lives in a dorm and isn't going anywhere.

14. I live and work in the NOVA area

NOVA is northern VA.

Rain, that's all we're getting and not all that much of it.

The map is right, it just needs shifted north by 200/300 miles or so.

16. At least in Florida, we prepare for hurricane season.

The local liquor store has a sale, and you get a $50 rebate on a case of Stoli.

And, if we don't have a hurricane, who cares!

24. Very funny!

Guess I will have to hit the liquor store before things get really bad today. We have been warned to stay home today and schools and businesses are closed. Boston seems to be ground zero for this storm.
